Shelf
Shelf is a Chrome extension for saving visual ideas and inspiration from the web. It keeps screenshots, page fragments, and quotes organised in one place, with links to their original sources.
With Shelf, you can
- Capture the visible part of a web page.
- Select and save a page area or individual element.
- Save selected text as a quote card.
- Add titles, descriptions, source links, tags, categories, and collections.
- Search, sort, and filter saved items.
- Edit entries and find potential duplicates.
- Export and import your library as JSON, or create an HTML index.
Your library is stored locally in your browser. No account is required, and saved content is never sent to an external server. You can also choose a folder on your computer to save items as PNG images with accompanying JSON metadata files.
