Website audits & performance

I review existing websites to find what makes them slow or difficult to use. You get an explanation of the issues, why they matter, and which changes I recommend making first.

An audit can focus on a specific problem or cover the main pages and tasks across your website. We agree on the scope before the review starts.

Find what is slowing the site down

I review page loading and interactions, looking at images, fonts, scripts, and the requests a page makes. The aim is to trace delays to their cause and identify changes worth making.

The review can focus on a slow landing page, a shared layout, or a particular interaction. I prefer recommendations tied to a specific problem over a list of scores with no explanation.

Check the tasks visitors need to complete

I look at navigation, page structure, and forms, with attention to mobile layouts and keyboard use. The review follows tasks such as finding a service or sending an enquiry.

Accessibility checks can cover headings, form labels, focus states, and colour contrast. Findings describe the affected page or component and the change needed.

Know what to fix first

The audit brings the findings together in a prioritised list. Each recommendation explains the problem, where it occurs, and the suggested next step.

We can focus first on issues that block a task, affect several pages, or have a straightforward fix. Larger changes can be planned separately so the review gives you a usable starting point.

Get help making the changes

You can take the recommendations to your developer, or I can help with implementation. We agree on that work separately once the findings are clear.

If your main concern is search visibility, a focused SEO & GEO review covers crawling, indexing, and search content in more detail.
